At the altar where she is about to marry second husband Herbert Fletcher (Robert Hutton), bride-to-be Jacqueline Walsh (Barbara Hale) collapses while taking her wedding vows. Told that that she’s pregnant by first husband Vernon Walsh (Robert Young), she is thrown into a custody battle with him and his fiancée, Wanda York (Janis Carter). Reunited by the legal wrangling that follows, Jacqueline realizes that she’s still in love with Vernon. And upon discovering discovers that she isn’t really pregnant after all, Jacqueline sets out to use the prospect of triplets to scare off the competition and win back husband number one.
